Frequently Asked Questions

This part replaces 50C and 50D from Stage 50. If using the lighted version you will want to test fit the part and get an idea of where to hot glue the included SMD LED to the Transmission Housing (50A). Peel the 3M adhesive backing from the tape deck and carefully apply it to the transmission housing where the tape deck is supposed to go. Make sure your TAPE deck text is facing the correct direction, as it's easy to install this part upside down. Snake the wiring to the lower console LED(44I from STAGE 44) or send it back to the Mike Lane Ultimate Electronic Kit, and use the open AUX port to power both the tape deck and gas pedal.

Believe it or not that tiny spec at the end of those two wires is a super bright white 3.5v SMD LED with a pre-wired transistor. Hot glue or tape (Tip: Use the adhesive that holds the Tape Deck to the card in your Kenneth Toys LTD packaging) this LED securely to the Transmission Housing (50A). Snake the wiring under the transmission housing and lead it to 44L, the lower console LED. Here you can splice into this bulb, or you can keep going back to the Mike Lane Ultimate Electronic Kit, and use the open AUX port to power both the tape deck and gas pedal.

Can you solder? If so, toss these in the trash. Not comfortable with soldering? These are for you. These are called solder joints. In the center is a ball of solder that can be melted with a heat gun or a grill lighter. Trim down the clear ends (shrink wrap) before applying to make managing the wires easier when finished. Strip back the wires a bit, dip the bare ends into solder flux, insert into the tubes up the silver band and melt. Done!
