Designed to give your dash a more screen-accurate look, each piece comes pre-painted in satin black with a matte finish and includes 3M adhesive for easy installation. While not 100% show-accurate, these accessories offer a significant visual improvement and help your model capture the classic Knight Rider style.

Season 1 & 2 Dash Pad Upgrade Kit


Looking to give your Fanhome K.I.T.T. dash a more authentic look? The original dash molds aren’t quite screen-accurate, but this kit helps you upgrade those simple details and get much closer to the iconic appearance from the show’s first two seasons. While these parts aren’t 100% screen-accurate—since KITT’s dash in the series actually sat on top of the original Trans Am dash pad and partially covered the speakers—they’re still designed to capture the spirit and style you’re after.

Easy Installation:

  • Each piece comes painted in satin black and sealed with a matte finish for a sleek, show-inspired look.

  • Pre-installed 3M double-sided adhesive pads make installation quick and easy. For an even more secure fit, you can use your own CA glue (recommended for a permanent hold).


Please Note:

  • The photos show the parts placed on the dash without adhesive. Once installed with the included sticky pads or glue, the covers will fit snugly and conform to your model’s dash.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can usually install these parts onto dash piece 4A from STAGE 4 at any time. However, I recommend waiting until the dash is attached to the interior floor panel 52A. This helps protect the paint and reduces the risk of accidentally damaging the finish during installation.

This happens sometimes when thin, long resin-printed parts are shipped in very hot or cold conditions. Usually, the included 3M adhesive will help correct any warping on its own. If it doesn’t, don’t worry! You can easily fix the part by gently heating it with hot water, a hair dryer, or a heat gun. Once the part is flexible, reshape it as needed, then quickly cool it (for example, with cold water) to set the new shape permanently.

The part isn’t an exact match to the show. The dashboard used for the 3D scan in this build wasn’t fully screen-accurate and includes extra features like HVAC vents that weren’t in the original series. However, as you can see in the images above, we did our best to get as close to the show version as possible.
